Wordless Wednesday: "Anticipation...is making me wait!"

  1. Hello Jodi, i haven't been here for a while...how wonderful the colors of the leaves are, which made the flowers more exultant! I am sorry but i love those leaves more than the flower! If it is not a tree, they look like ornamental sweet potato leaves.

  2. Peony in yellow... wow! Pretty :-D

  3. Lovely! I would grow peonies but they simply get trampled by rain here in the NW. Instead, I enjoy the ones others are brave enough to foster.

  4. I have never seen a yellow peony. I thought it was a yellow rose at first. Yellow roses are my favorite. Yellow peony is closing in there.

  5. OMG. Never seen a yellow peony either, and if I'd not read Andrea's comment might not have noticed the yummy leaves. Wow, indeed!

  6. Gorgeous peony - do you know the variety? It's a close second to my favorite "Coral Charm" which I first saw at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens Peony Festival.

  7. Your yellow peony with the red centre is a mate for my red peony with a yellow centre. What a combination that pair would make. Happy gardening.

  9. While the flower of your Tree Peony is gorgeous, it's the foliage that gets me. It's absolutely fabulous.

  10. Jodi: Love that dark foliage. Too funny that we both have this one for WW. I can certainly see why.

  13. those are special blooms - thats the most hardy and reliable type over here in our climate but folk seem to prefer the pink ones for some reason.

  14. Hi Jodi~~ Sorry I've been away so long. Is this a photo of 'Molly the Witch'? Whatever the name, it's a beaut for sure. For the next few months we're going to receive reward after reward...the best part of gardening. Ah yes the anticipation!
