Dear Jodi, You must have laid in wait for ages to take this picture - a perfect composition.
Congratulations on your being No.1 on Blotanical!! If you have a moment (!!), I should love to have your view on my 'Great Garden' debate on my current blog.
Jodi, this photo screams summer to me. It holds such warmth and subtle color. Nothing like seeing a bee butt to realize it is warm out. Nice wordless wednesday. Since I hear all sorts of sounds coming from this photo. Lots of buzzing. It warms my heart.
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made; Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, And live alone in the bee-loud glade.....
Yes! My son's school poem study for literature, The Lake Isle of Innisfree. Before that I don't even know the difference between a wattle and a waffle.
Your picture is so clear I can even see all the fine hairs on the bee's body. A splendid photo indeed, Jodi.
Perfect photo Jodi! Beautiful! What a lovely way of placing us into Yeats . . . 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree' . . . . "And live alone in the bee-loud glade. And I shall have some peace there . . . " Thank you for such a sweet way to start the day. Ah... sigh ... Carol
I thought we all needed a little burst of summer, what with the grey-days-daze that have been plaguing many of us. Here's to warmer, sunnier days soon.

Oh, so lovely, jodi. You have a wonderful eye! I especially love how the buff-colored stripes on her body echo the buff-colored blossoms.
ReplyDeleteDo you sell prints of your photos? I could think of a wall where that would be just right in my house...
Jodi, now that's a photo to warm a cold winter day. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great photo. Makes me even more impatient for summer. Thanks for following my blog as well. An honor coming from you!
ReplyDeleteNice hat on that bug! ;-)
ReplyDeleteFashionable, pretty but just a bit large, I think.
Just perfect, Jodi! The bee looks so happy here; I doubt he even noticed your camera. This makes me long for spring.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photograph, Jodi. If this doesn't transport one into thoughts and dreams of spring, I don't know what will.
