Hello Jodi, i haven't been here for a while...how wonderful the colors of the leaves are, which made the flowers more exultant! I am sorry but i love those leaves more than the flower! If it is not a tree, they look like ornamental sweet potato leaves.
Gorgeous peony - do you know the variety? It's a close second to my favorite "Coral Charm" which I first saw at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens Peony Festival.
Gorgeous, simply gorgeous, your photography blows me away Jodi. A colour fest, and I love seeing all these amazing plants surface in your Blog posts. Respect The Gardener x
Hi Jodi~~ Sorry I've been away so long. Is this a photo of 'Molly the Witch'? Whatever the name, it's a beaut for sure. For the next few months we're going to receive reward after reward...the best part of gardening. Ah yes the anticipation!

ReplyDeletePeony in yellow... wow! Pretty :-D
ReplyDeleteLovely! I would grow peonies but they simply get trampled by rain here in the NW. Instead, I enjoy the ones others are brave enough to foster.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a yellow peony. I thought it was a yellow rose at first. Yellow roses are my favorite. Yellow peony is closing in there.
ReplyDeleteOMG. Never seen a yellow peony either, and if I'd not read Andrea's comment might not have noticed the yummy leaves. Wow, indeed!

ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteYour yellow peony with the red centre is a mate for my red peony with a yellow centre. What a combination that pair would make. Happy gardening.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular, jodi! That colour is pure sunshine.
ReplyDeleteWhile the flower of your Tree Peony is gorgeous, it's the foliage that gets me. It's absolutely fabulous.
ReplyDeleteJodi: Love that dark foliage. Too funny that we both have this one for WW. I can certainly see why.

The photo is simply stunning. I am planning to grow peony in our garden. I hope they will bloom as beautiful as yours. Great post!
ReplyDeletethose are special blooms - thats the most hardy and reliable type over here in our climate but folk seem to prefer the pink ones for some reason.
